Quality
One of IdaT's main principals is that the quality must be soft and comfortable to wear, no matter if the fabric is cotton, cordurpy or denim. Besides this, IdaT has certain requirements to the products' durability and the quality of the colouring, so that the clothes stay nice for a long time. If you follow IdaT's care instructions (see below), you can prolong the lifespan of the product.
All of IdaT's cotton wear are also certified with the Oeko-Tex 100 certification, which is a health standard focusing on the level of health damaging substances in clothing and other products. Below you can read more about the Oeko-Tex 100 standard and what it means to you and your child.
Washing instructions for IdaT's products
To extend the lifespan of your IdaT product, we recommend the following general washing precautions:
- Always wash your clothes inside out
- We recommend not to tumble dry
- Do not leave your clothes soaking for a long time before washing
- Always wash similar colours together
In general, IdaT recommends to follow the washing instructions on the care labels.
IdaT's winter wear have been given a coating to make it wind and water proof, therefore:
- do not let your winter wear dry in a heating cabinet - the effect of the coating will diminish gradually
IdaT's rubber boots are made of 100% rubber, therefore:
- do not put your rubber boots in a heating cabinet, the boots will get brittle
IdaT's melamine service:
- can be cleaned in a dish washer
- can not tolerate microwave
- may break if it is thrown with or lost on hard floor (e.g. tiles).
Oeko-Tex 100 standard
All of IdaT's basic cotton wear are certified with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard, which is a private healt standard label, the worlds leading certification of its kind. The standard has more elaborate and strict requirements concerning chemicals and harmful substances in textiles, than the ones held by law. The whole product, including buttons, zipper, thread etc., is tested on an impartial laboratory.
Stricter requirements
The Oeko-Tex 100 standard operates with several categories with different levels of requirements. The highest requirements are set when it comes to products for children under the age of 3. IdaT uses the same cotton for all the cotton wear products, so your child is just as safe at the age of 1 as at the age of 5.
Some of the requirements involve:
- the level of formaldehyde, which can cause cancer and allergies
- colourfastness
- pH-value
The requirements are continously being updated according to the newest research.
Why choose Oeko-Tex 100 certified products?
A lot of people wash the clothes they have bought for not only themselves, but maybe especially for their children, before use. But if the clothes are not certified with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard, very few of the chemicals and harmful substances, which in worst case can cause e.g. allergy, hormonal disorders or cancer, will disappear. The Oeko-Tex 100 standard is therefore a safeguard for you and your child.
